Madrid walkabout on Kodak T-Max 100

join me for a black & white walkabout of madrid on kodak t-max 100 film.

i went for a walkabout in Madrid in mid December with my niece and copious amounts of film. i shot a roll of Kodak Tmax 100, while she burned through a few rolls of colour film. I shot with my Leica MP camera and loaned her my small Olympus XA2 camera, which is a great starting camera for newbies too. This post has my black & white shots only, using a collapsible Summicron 50mm f2 and Leica Elmar 135mm lens.

I have not shot Kodak T-Max film for a while and I had forgotten how clear it is, I really like the strong contrast. These shots are all “walkabout and look up” type shots in the centre of Madrid.

I really like this shot, a typical Spanish scene!

I can’t say I am a fan of bullfighting, but I do appreciate the architecture of the bullring. It is also conveniently very close to my house.

I am a sucker for straight lines in Metro stations…I always like how well these come out in black & white.

overall observations

I must re-stock more Kodak T-Max 100 & 400 film, wow what nice contrasty results! I have laid off commenting on every photograph as for one it is easier to bulk upload them but also these are well known places to me and there is a limit on my commentary skillset I think!

Thanks for joining me for this short walkabout!
